Chicken TownJust because I can, I’m making March U.S. Geography Month.  Each Thursday night during March, the Trivia Question will have something to do with United States geography.

There are 61 towns in the United States with the word “turkey” in their names (e.g., Turkeytown, Alabama and Turkey Foot, Florida).

QUESTION:

How many places in the United States have the word “chicken” in their name?

ANSWER:

4

EXPLANATION:

There are four places in the United States with the word “chicken” in their name.  They are: Chicken, Alaska; Chicken Bristle, in Illinois and Kentucky; and Chickentown, Pennsylvania.  At least, that’s what the Internets told me.  Anyone know of any others?

NET CHECK IN’s:

A total of 34 people checked in to the Net tonight and of those, only 3 had the correct answer to the Trivia Question tonight.  Congratulations to:

  • Brian – K6FIN
  • Roy – W6REH
  • Louie – AD6UP

As always, I want to thank EVERYONE who took time out of their busy evening to support us by checking in to the Net.
