Trivia Question 12/27/12 – Check In’s

Check InWell, tonight is the last Net of 2012 and with that I thought I’d look back on the check-in’s for the year.  We missed two weeks so there have been 49 Nets before tonight’s in 2012.

QUESTION:

Two-part question tonight: 1 – How many different call signs have been heard on the Net this past year (how many different people have checked in to the Net)? and 2 – How many total check in’s have there been during 2012?

Trivia Question 12/13/12 – Take a Hike!

Earth QUESTION:

If I told you to take a hike and get as far away from me as possible, how many miles away would that be? In other words, assuming the Earth is a perfect sphere, what’s the farthest distance you can travel on the face of the Earth before you’d be headed back towards your starting point?

Trivia Question 12/6/12 – Encyclopedia Britannica

Encyclopaedia BritannicaBack when I was a kid, back before the Internet, Google, and Wikipedia, when you needed to know a fact or look something up, you’d go to the library and search in the encyclopedia. The Encyclopedia Britannica was one of those great multi-volume references on the shelf.  But time and technology marches on and the last print edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica was published in 2010.  Today is the anniversary of the publication of the first Encyclopedia Britannica.

QUESTION:
